From March 2016 to March 2022, Eric served as our Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, from March 2005 to March 2016, Eric served as our Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and from 2004 to December 2005, Eric served as our Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.

From 2000 to 2004, Eric worked in the San Francisco office of Paul Hastings LLP (formerly Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP), where he served on the firm’s national securities practice committee. Eric has represented public and private companies and venture capital and investment banking firms in a wide range of corporate and securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliance matters, and intellectual property-related business transactions. His experience involves a variety of industries, including biotechnology and life sciences.

Eric holds a B.A. in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, and a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
